Welcome to DirectBuild's June 2012 Newsletter.

Despite the wet weather, the 2012 HIA Sydney Home Show proved exceptionally popular. The level of interest shown in DirectBuild’s services to owner builders exceeded our expectations.

The team at DirectBuild would like to thank everyone who visited our Stand at the Home Show and we hope that we can be of service to you as your home building/renovation plans progress.

A lot of people we spoke with at the Home Show were still at the initial stages of their design. As a result, I thought it may be helpful to focus an article on Talking Sustainability (of housing) with specific comment on the importance of passive design being used in conjunction with the selection of energy efficient building options. The second article provides helpful hints on the importance of correct installation of Insulation Batts.

Finally, I would like to remind you that DirectBuild’s next Owner Builder Seminar is to be held on Sunday 22 July 2012 at the Canada Bay Club Five Dock NSW 2046. If you would like to attend the Seminar, please call Ray Wilkie on (02) 9713 7428 or email rwilkie@directbuild.com.au to secure your spot.
